The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) in partnership with the Sarasota & Manatee Community Remembrance Project is pleased to announce a scholarship contest open to 9th - 12th grade students in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
Students are asked to examine the history of a topic of racial injustice and to discuss its legacy today.

EJI will award scholarships up to $5,000 to winning participants. In addition, the Sarasota & Manatee Community Remembrance Project will award the winner(s) a trip to Montgomery, Alabama to visit the EJI museum & memorial.
